Russia will send 100 thousand doses of Sputnik Light vaccine to Vietnam free of charge

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree according to which Russia will provide Vietnam with 100,000 doses of Sputnik Light vaccine as humanitarian aid. This is reported on the official portal of legal information.

It is noted that more than 57 million rubles have been allocated for the purchase and delivery of the drug to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for this cargo of humanitarian aid.

Earlier, Vietnam began production of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine, the first batch has already been sent to the Gamaleya Institute for quality control. Vietnam registered the Russian drug on March 23. In the country, 65 607 people were infected with the coronavirus, 334 patients died.

Prior to this, the Peruvian Ministry of Health announced the conclusion of an agreement on the supply of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.

The Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), in turn, has confirmed the effectiveness against the delta strain of all the coronavirus vaccines used in the country, including the Russian drug Sputnik V.
