Russia (bbabo.net) - The Presidium of the regional political council of the United Russia party has suspended the membership of Krasnodar Mayor Andrei Alekseenko, detained on suspicion of receiving a large bribe. This was reported on the official website of the regional branch of "ER".

"The decision was made in accordance with the Party Charter on December 22. This is a standard procedure in the event of a criminal case," - said in "United Russia".

As previously reported, a criminal case has been opened against the head of Krasnodar, Andrei Alekseenko, on suspicion of accepting a bribe on an especially large scale. According to the investigation, Andrei Alekseenko, while serving as vice-governor, received a sports gun worth 1.6 million rubles from a representative of a construction company. In return, according to the Investigative Committee, the official facilitated the unhindered issuance of an opinion on the conformity of the apartment building erected in Krasnodar, despite the existence of a number of shortcomings in the building.

It is also known that searches were carried out in Andrei Alekseenko's office and home, and he himself was brought for interrogation to the investigator. At the moment, as told in the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee in the Kuban, the issue of choosing a preventive measure against the suspect is being decided. In a criminal case, all the circumstances of the crime are established and evidence is collected.
