The head of the Baltic industrial company was suspected of fraud

The founder and head of the Baltic Industrial Company (BPC) Diana Kaledina was detained in Moscow. This was reported by Kommersant.

Presumably, the entrepreneur was suspected of supplying Chinese machines under the guise of Russian ones. The fact of overstating the cost was also revealed.

Kaledina now denies her guilt. The investigation against her may be of a custom-made nature, the head of the BPC is sure. The entrepreneur's lawyer Dmitry Danilov explained that his client had already given detailed explanations to the investigators.

According to Kommersant sources, Kaledina came to the attention of the law enforcement agencies several months ago. The likely reason for the investigative actions was the contract signed by the BPC 5 years ago with the organization

"Signal" Research and Production Enterprise.

It is possible that the person involved in the investigation, already brought to St. Petersburg, will be elected a preventive measure on December 24.

Earlier, the owner of Yulmart, August Meyer, was detained for fraud in the amount of 2.3 billion rubles.
