Russia - Residents of Russian cities painted New Year cards on ice

Russia (bbabo.net), - Despite severe frosts, residents of Russian cities took to the ice to draw New Year's cards.

The "Miracles on Ice" action organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation was dedicated to the memory of the Amur pensioner Valery Melnikov, who every winter took a shovel, shoveled snow and painted on the ice of the Khomutiny River - so that people would smile. Correspondents told about how the action went.

In Orenburg, it passed at the bridge over the Urals. It took a lot of effort to "draw patterns" by shoveling snow. But after an hour and a half, images of the symbols of the New Year and the city appeared - a Christmas tree, an Orenburg scarf and an astronaut (as you know, Yuri Gagarin was a graduate of the local flying school).

According to the protesters, because of the work in the fresh air, they even felt hot. “Every person is waiting for a miracle before the New Year. And such actions help to plunge into childhood, remember how they walked through the snowdrifts, painted in the snow,” said one of the “artists” Ilnur Mutagarov.

In Yekaterinburg, those wishing to draw an ice postcard in the Academic district of the city were called by one in the afternoon. But already from ten in the morning several people diligently trampled the outline of the future drawing there - a Christmas tree and the words "Happy New Year". The place for congratulations was chosen next to the skating rink, arranged right on the ice of the Patrushikha river. "At first they asked for a small area - 6 by 14 meters, but we decided - let it be 20 by 40!" - said, smiling and wielding a shovel, Polina Ryumina.

In Omsk, a giant tiger footprint appeared on a lake in Victory Park. An original congratulation made of ice and snow can be seen in all its glory only from a bird's eye view. Students, schoolchildren, residents of the Omsk left bank, volunteers of Rossoyuzspas took up the shovels. First, they engraved the symbol of the year - the tiger's paw - on the snow-covered ice. And then the inscriptions - "Omsk-2022" and "Give five to the Tiger for good luck in the New Year!"

And in Novosibirsk, a gigantic New Year's card - about 40 meters wide and 50 meters long - appeared on the Gorsky pit. I must say that this is not an easy job. The correspondent "painted" for about 15 minutes with a shovel, scraping snow from transparent ice, and realized that she was not ready for this kind of art. I thought: "Didn't you swing too much ?! Why is this, 40 to 50?" Fortunately, not only frail journalists, but also young employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations joined the artists. A team of firefighters and rescuers worked conscientiously, obeying a little fragile girl Dasha, a volunteer and designer. It was she who came up with the idea of depicting a sable on a postcard - the symbol of Novosibirsk. By the way, the correspondent was cleaning the snow around its tail.

“We urge all residents of our country to give each other a New Year's mood by drawing such postcards, even on a pond, even on a frozen window,” says Elena Aleksandrova, a spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources. - Well, one more goal of our action is to remind people of how important it is to protect the cleanliness of water bodies. Any of them is our common wealth.

Well, the residents of Yakutsk have created a New Year's postcard measuring six by eight meters on Lake Talom. It depicts the mythical Bull of Cold - a symbol of the severe Yakut frosts. About 50 people, "armed" with shovels and brooms, were engaged in "painting" on the ice. The Yakutians were not stopped by either fog or 50-degree frosts. It took several hours to create the 48-meter postcard. “The action turned out to be very extreme. But, despite the frost, we took part in it with a large team of social activists and employees of different structures,” volunteer Maxim Nikiforov shared.
