The deputy head of the Rostekhnadzor department and his colleague were arrested in Moscow

Andrei Lavrinovich, deputy head of the department for regulating the safety of nuclear fuel cycle facilities, nuclear power plants of ships and radiation hazardous facilities of Rostekhnadzor, and his colleague were arrested in connection with a bribery case. This is reported by TASS with reference to representatives of the Khamovnichesky court of the capital.

The second person involved in the case was the chief specialist-expert of this department, Kirill Nevolin.

“The court chose a measure of restraint for Lavrinovich and Nevolin in the form of detention,” the Moscow court said.

The men were charged with two counts of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of Russia - “Taking a bribe by a group of persons on a large scale”.

Details of the investigation into Rostekhnadzor officials have not yet been released. It is also unknown what amount of the bribe is in question.

Earlier in Moscow, an investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was detained for a bribe of $ 3 million. The suspect was detained by FSB officers right in the building of the main investigation department.
