More than a third (34%) of Russian residents do not plan to buy new outfits or costumes to celebrate the New Year. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the study of the Mir payment system.

“Speaking about the items of expenditure for celebrating the New Year, residents of Russia are ready to give up visiting cafes and restaurants - 39% of respondents plan to save money by celebrating the holiday at home. The second most popular answer in terms of savings concerns the purchase of new items. 34% of Russians are not ready to buy new dresses and suits, ”the study says.

At the same time, it turned out that more than half (65%) of Russian residents regularly celebrate the New Year in existing outfits. In addition, the majority (74%) prefer accessories and shoes bought long ago.

More than a quarter (27%) of the respondents also save on travel by giving up travel or choosing a cheaper travel option in January. Also, 26% intend to cut expenses on the New Year's table, 21% will reduce the cost of.jpgts and decorations for the Christmas tree.

Earlier, experts said that after the New Year holidays, there will be a sharp decline in the cost of travel. Most of all, the price of trips to distant countries like the Dominican Republic, Cuba and Mexico will decrease.
