WASHINGTON - US fast food giant McDonald's has decided to clean up its act in the country with a decision announced Wednesday to phase out over next two years sourcing chicken raised with antibiotics that are important to human medicine.
In addition, McDonald's U.S. restaurants are set to offer a new menu that will include jugs of low-fat white milk and fat-free chocolate milk from cows that are not treated with rbST, an artificial growth hormone. The milk jugs are popular choices in Happy Meals.
