Russia (bbabo.net), - The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory sent a criminal case of a deputy of the Taimyr District Council and an ex-deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the region to the court. They are accused of illegal business and violation of environmental protection rules. The people's deputies have caused damage to the state in the amount of 21 million rubles. This was told today in the supervisory department.
According to law enforcement agencies, in 2016-2018, two enterprises of the Taimyr Dolgan-Nenets region produced 140 thousand cubic meters of sand and gravel mixture. It was required for work under a contract for the construction of an industrial facility. However, the mineral was mined without a license for the right to use subsoil.
Sand and gravel were used in the construction of an oil well, which was later sold by the managers of the mentioned enterprises to the customer. Thanks to the transaction, the entrepreneurs received a large income - about 300 million rubles. At the same time, due to illegal extraction of sand and gravel mixture, the environment and the state suffered significant damage - more than 21.5 million rubles, the head office of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Krasnoyarsk Territory specified.
The department added that the property of the accused worth over 21 million was seized.
