Internet has reappeared in some regions of Kazakhstan

The Internet provider Kazakhtelecom has turned on wired Internet in some regions of Kazakhstan, among the connected cities - Aktau, RIA Novosti reports.

In addition, some Kazakhstanis have reintroduced mobile Internet.

Earlier, the state of emergency was introduced throughout Kazakhstan.

In the afternoon of January 5, it became known that the Internet and telephone communications were cut off in Kazakhstan. Some media sites in Kazakhstan have become inaccessible from abroad amid protests taking place in the country.

In Kazakhstan, protests began on January 2 in the city of Zhanaozen, Mangistau Oblast, after the price for a liter of liquefied gas increased to 120 tenge (about 21 rubles). Before that, the price for a liter of gas was 60 tenge. Two days later, clashes between protesters and the police and the military began in Almaty and a number of other cities. Clashes also took place in Aktobe, Taraz, Aktau and other settlements.
