With the onset of 2022, several automakers have raised prices for cars in Russia at once, according to Autonews of the Day following a study of price lists.

On January 1, AvtoVAZ raised prices for the entire Lada range by 11,000 to 82,000 rubles. Now the most affordable Lada model, the Granta sedan, costs from 599 thousand rubles. The most expensive is Vesta Sport, the recommended retail price of which is from 1.34 million rubles.

The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant has increased prices for SUVs by 25 thousand to 34.6 thousand rubles. For example, "Patriot" now costs from 1.16 million rubles, and "Loaf" - from 987 thousand rubles.

Toyota also rewrote the price lists - the cars went up from 1 thousand to 264 thousand rubles. The Land Cruiser 300 SUV in two trim levels has become more expensive by a thousand rubles, and in all the others - by 226 thousand rubles. (the minimum price of LC 300 from the manufacturer is from 5.78 million rubles). Toyota Corolla, the most affordable model of the Japanese brand in Russia, will cost at least 1.6 million rubles, and the Camry model - from 2.06 million rubles.

Among other brands, prices have changed for the entire model range of Suzuki (+20 thousand rubles) and for two Great Wall pickups - Poer and Wingle 7 (+50 thousand rubles). It was also reported that at the beginning of January, Renault cars of the 2022 model year rose in price by 5 to 55 thousand rubles.
