The death toll of law enforcement officers in Alma-Ata has increased to 13 people, another decapitated body of a policeman was found, RIA Novosti reports.

At the same time, on the night of January 6, law enforcement officers repulsed an armed assault on the police department of Alma-Ata, among the attackers there were dozens of dead.

Earlier, during the clashes in Alma-Ata, 12 law enforcement officers were killed, 353 were injured.

It is noted that the body of one of the victims was found with his head cut off.

In Kazakhstan, protests began on January 2 in the city of Zhanaozen, Mangistau Oblast, due to an increase in the price per liter of liquefied gas to 120 tenge (about 21 rubles).
