Long queues at gas stations formed in Kazakhstan

In the city of Taldykorgan in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan, motorists complain of a shortage of gasoline. According to local residents, there is no fuel at the filling station, reports Sputnik Kazakhstan.

RIA Novosti news agency published a photo from one of the Taldykorgan gas stations. The picture shows dozens of cars queuing at the gas station.

Gas stations in the Kazakh city of Aktau began to dispense gasoline on coupons, the Khabar 24 TV channel reported earlier. It was noted that motorists have to stand for hours in huge traffic jams at the gas station. A video with queues at gas stations in Almaty was also published by RT.

The protests in Kazakhstan began on January 2, when the price for a liter of liquefied gas increased to 120 tenge (about 21 rubles). Previously, the price for a liter of gas was 60 tenge. Two days later, clashes between protesters and the police and the military began in Almaty and other cities.
