Russia - Nine people died from alcohol poisoning in Tyumen

Russia (bbabo.net) - Nine people died from drinking unlicensed alcohol-containing liquid in Tyumen. According to the regional department of the UK, four local residents suspected of distributing fake alcohol have already been detained, testify and participate in investigative actions.

A criminal case has been initiated and is being investigated on the basis of a crime under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (sale of goods and products that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers, which inadvertently entailed the death of two or more persons). This crime can be punished with up to 10 years in prison.

As noted in the UK, illegal methyl alcohol with a vodka label "Springs of Siberia" was on sale for five days, starting from January 3 of this year, in outlets in Tyumen, located on Stavropolskaya and Rizhskaya streets. According to the investigation, the death of all the victims came from the use of this liquid. It is possible that the death toll may rise further.

Investigative Committee officers have already conducted an inspection of the scene of the incident, searches at the place of residence of suspects and victims, and interrogated witnesses.
