Russia - Russian universities will extend the session for students from Kazakhstan

Russia (bbabo.net), - Russian universities are changing the conditions for passing the session for their students who are now in Kazakhstan. Large universities of the Russian Federation suggested that students extend the time of the session, draw up individual plans if they cannot return by the beginning of the semester, TASS reports.

For example, the Ural Federal University (UrFU) has already extended the deadlines for such students for the winter session. "The timing of exams will be adjusted depending on the work of the Internet in Kazakhstan and the restoration of air communication with Russia," the press service of the university said. Now out of 667 students of UrFU who left for the holidays in Kazakhstan, 120 have already returned to Yekaterinburg. In total, about 1,300 students from Kazakhstan study at the university.

At the Novosibirsk and Astrakhan Technical State Universities, students will be given the opportunity to take the session remotely, if there is such an opportunity. If not, its terms will be changed on an individual basis. Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) has opened a 24-hour hotline for all students from Kazakhstan to receive information on returning to the university and on issues related to education.

The readiness to meet the students halfway in the current situation was reported at the Crimean, Baltic and Northern Arctic Federal Universities, at the Kuban State University,

But in Petrozavodsk State University, the session will not be shifted: most of the students from Kazakhstan did not go home for New Year's holidays.
