Russia - Kazakhstan hardening Panfilov

Russia (bbabo.net), - On June 22, 1941, they stood up for the defense of the Brest Fortress, and on May 9, 1945, they signed for the Reichstag in Berlin. The legendary division under the command of Major General I.V. Panfilova, formed in the cities of Alma-Ata of the Kazakh SSR and Frunze of the Kirghiz SSR, showed itself especially brightly during the battle of Moscow and later received the name of its commander, who died on November 18, 1941. About 100,000 soldiers from Soviet Kazakhstan were awarded military orders and medals of the USSR. Almost 100 of them were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Four Kazakh pilots - T.Ya. Begeldinov, L.I. Trouble, I.F. Pavlov and S.D. Lugansk - became twice Heroes of the Soviet Union.

Captain Sergei Lugansky fought on the Yak-1, for the purchase of which his fellow countrymen from Alma-Ata collected 180 thousand rubles. In total, over 480 million rubles were collected by Kazakhstanis for the construction of equipment - tank columns and air squadrons - during the war years. Help from the Kazakh rear was not limited to this. The enterprises transferred to the production of military products supplied the Red Army with military equipment, as well as food and uniforms. In addition, Kazakhstan was one of the main regions that received dozens of relocated factories and plants. This became possible thanks to a developed network of railways, a powerful fuel, energy and raw material base and remoteness from the front.

But not only industrial enterprises moved to Kazakhstan. Institutes of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Mosfilm and Lenfilm film studios were among the forced migrants. The Kazakh SSR also accepted pupils from 60 orphanages.

The exploits of Kazakhstanis at the front and in the rear are reflected in photographic and film documents stored in AKFD.

Thus, the Central Studio of Documentary Films made separate releases jointly with the Alma-Ata Newsreel Studio. There are stories about horses bred on collective farms of the Kazakh SSR for front-line cavalry, about lead smelting at a metallurgical plant in Leninogorsk, about the work of Kazakhstanis in the oil field in Kulsary and a fruit cannery in Alma-Ata, coal mining in the region of the Zailiyskiy Alatau mountain range, and cotton harvesting. and sending it to factories, etc.

That's really everything for the front, everything for the Victory!
