By using an advanced set of computer algorithm, these machines can determine the intention of human and then say if such intention has changed or has been disturbed.

"We call it a psychic robot," said Justin Horowitz, the lead author of the research. The robots will be able to understand humans more than ever.

It all started by building a so-called virtual desk. During the first test of this concept Horowitz analyzed the movements of subjects when they were drawn to some object on the virtual desk, but then their hand was pushed in the other direction. He was able to develop a complex mathematical algorithm that analyzes and evaluates the actions and intentions of the subject even when it interferes with something.
