Lobby of Kairat or the need for Zenith? Why is Alip going to the main RPL club to watch

The news about watching Nuraly Alip in Zenit became one of the main and loudest in the January off-season. The correspondent of bbabo.net discusses the possible transition of the defender of the Kazakhstan national team and his chances to play in the strongest RPL club.

A year ago, the head of Kairat, Kairat Boranbayev, in an interview with our site said that Alip received calls from Zenit, Rubin and Ajax. But then it did not end with anything big, while the high marks towards the defender continued. In particular, he was praised even by the head coach of “Rubin” Leonid Slutsky.

But the relationship of “Kairat” with “Ruby” and “Zenith” has long looked not just as partnerships, but rather as friendly. This is confirmed at least by the number of friendly matches with these teams and the attempt of another Kazakhstani Bauyrzhan Islamkhan to try his hand at the club from the banks of the Neva.

Obviously, Alip got into Zenit's scouting list for a reason, he was recommended. Although in terms of playing potential and the experience gained already, the Kazakhstani centerback is probably the most suitable candidate of all the current national team players for a club like Zenit.

The question is, why is this "Kairat"? Alip is a pupil of the club, and for "Kairat" it is extremely important to show that the academy does not just work at the level of Kazakhstan, but is already entering the international platform, that talents are growing there. But, perhaps, “Zenith” is still too sharp a leap for Alip. Kairat traditionally thinks ambitiously, but St. Petersburg has long assembled a team of high-quality Russian players and the best RPL legionnaires, the competition there is of a completely different level. And even Bauyrzhan Islamkhan felt it. Not to say that Bathorik was completely lost watching Zenit, but at the same time he clearly did not look as bright as he did in Kairat.

On the other hand, why “Zenith” Alip? Again, friendly relations with “Kairat” and the management have not been canceled, especially since the Russian club does not risk anything - this is not a contract, but so far just a viewing. But there is also a sports component in this venture. “Zenith” still has not renewed the contract with Yaroslav Rakitskiy, not everyone is happy with the way Deyan Lovren plays, finding a left-footed central defender with a Russian passport is not so easy, so it’s not surprising that the coaching staff decided to look at the Kazakhstani.

It is clear that Alip is now clearly weaker than the same Rakytskyi, but as a substitute for the Ukrainian (if he extends the contract) he can come up. However, for Nurala himself, even if the constant training process in such a team, this is not entirely good. Alipu needs to play at that age, so let's say once again: “Zenith” is too high a bar at the moment. The same “Ruby” or “Rostov” (which other sources spoke about) are more realistic and correct career options for Nuraly right now.

Note that all the positive examples of transfers of players from the CPL to the RPL began with clubs of the middle or even smaller level. Djordje Despotovich went to Orenburg and only then to Rubin, Bakhtiyor Zainutdinov got to CSKA through Rostov, Yegor Sorokin grew to Krasnodar through Rubin. With all due respect to Alip, he is clearly not higher in the class of these guys in order to immediately start playing in “Zenith”. But such an opportunity is provided, which means that every effort must be made to prove the opposite and gain a foothold in Semak's team.
