Burtasova wins second medal in a row at the IBU Cup

Russian biathlete Evgenia Burtasova took second place in the sprint race at the fifth stage of the IBU Cup in Brezno-Osrblie (Slovakia), Slovakia.

France's Camille Bene won the race with a 7.5 km run without a miss in 19 minutes 51.1 seconds.

Burtasova also made no mistakes on the shooting range and lost 13.4 seconds to the Frenchwoman. Third place went to Russian Natalya Gerbulova (+18.2 seconds, no misses).

On Wednesday, Burtasova took second place in the 12.5 km individual race at the stage.

Burtasova became the second in the individual race at the IBU Cup Biathlon The Russians Victoria Slivko (eighth place; +34.0; 1) and Anastasia Egorova (tenth; +43.2; 0) also got into the top 10 following the results of the sprint.

On Friday, the men's sprint will take place in Brezno-Osrblie, and the pursuit races on Saturday.
