Valieva is the current champion of Russia, the owner of all three world records in women's singles - in short and free programs and in total. 17-year-old Shcherbakova won the 2021 World Championships, was second at the 2020 European Championships, and 17-year-old Trusova won bronze medals at these tournaments.

Tarasova noted the difference in the scores of her daughter Tutberidze at the European Championship and in Russia. In 2023, the European Championship will be held in Helsinki.

The final composition of the Russian figure skating team for the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing will become known on the 20th of January - then the Olympic meeting will be held in Moscow, the exact date of which has not yet been determined. The Olympic Games will take place from 4 to 20 February.
