Hannover player addresses those who faced racism at a Moscow university

Hannover football player Gael Ondua, who has Cameroonian and Russian citizenship, expressed his support for black students of the Moscow State Civil Engineering University (MGSU) in Instagram stories after the banana incident.

“I want to appeal to the guys who today are faced with racism in Moscow. Guys, I express my sincere and deep support to you. Let those who mocked you be punished. I grew up in Moscow, never faced racism. I am sad to see that you are faced with this,” Ondua said in Russian.

Earlier, a video appeared on the Web in which unknown people try to hand bananas to black students and throw snowballs at them. The authors of the video called foreigners "monkeys". The press service of MGSU told RBC that the security service is investigating this incident.
