CSKA striker Chalov moved to Basel

Russia (bbabo.net) - CSKA striker Fedor Chalov has moved on loan to the Swiss club Basel.

CSKA Moscow announced the transfer of its striker Fedor Chalov to Basel. The 23-year-old will play for the Swiss club on loan until the end of this season. At the same time, CSKA clarified that the buyout option was not specified in the agreement between the clubs.

This season, Chalov has played 18 matches for the army team and scored three goals. In total, he took part in 179 games and chalked up 49 goals.

“It’s unusual to leave my native club, but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to play in Europe. When I received an offer from Basel, I turned to the leadership of PFC CSKA with a request to let me go, and I’m grateful that they met me,” Chalov quotes the CSKA website as saying .

The footballer noted that he wants to get more playing time and he hopes to get it at a new club.

"I realized that I need to reboot, find an opportunity to get more match practice. I hope I will earn it in Switzerland, and in the summer I will return to my club a stronger and more confident player.
