Kalle Sauerland (Wasserman Boxing), promoter of ex-British middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. (32-2, 23 KOs), commented on the response of Kazakhstani Gennady Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs) to the challenge of his ward, bbabo.net correspondent reports.

Eubank has repeatedly stated his desire to fight GGG in the past. In particular, he reported that after defeating his compatriot Liam Williams (23-4-1, 18 KOs) he would seek a meeting in the ring with a Kazakhstani.

Golovkin, in his own style, responded to provocations from his opponent.

Here is how Sauerland reacted on bbabo.net: "Golovkin said it was a cheap attempt. If the offer to box at Wembley is cheap, I would like to see an expensive one. I want to assure you that we at Wasserman Boxing are well funded, to give them a guarantee for the fight. Wembley Stadium is a big arena even for a legend like Golovkin."

Note that Eubank was once close to the fight with Golovkin in the UK, but it did not take place due to the fault of the British. As a result, his place was taken by Kell Brook, who was knocked out in the fifth round.

GGG was going to return to the ring in December 2021, but his unification fight in Japan with the holder of the WBA "super champion" belt Japanese Ryota Murata (16-2, 13 KOs) was postponed due to the coronavirus. Most likely, it will now take place this spring.
