The Russian biathlete was 1.7 seconds short of the Olympic medal

Russian biathlete Maxim Tsvetkov finished fourth in the sprint at the Beijing Olympics.

The Russian lost to the winning Norwegian Johannes Boe 40.6 seconds, not allowing misses on two firing lines. He was 1.7 seconds short of third place.

Boe's result was 24 minutes 0.4 seconds with one penalty. The second place was taken by the Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Maillet (+25.5; one miss), the third - the brother of Be Tarjei (+38.9; 1).
