Surprised in Beijing, or how Kazakhs performed on the seventh medal day of the 2022 Olympics

Today, February 11, the seventh medal day was held at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, bbabo.net reports.

Kazakhstan was represented in four sports. Short track skaters successfully performed, including Abzal Azhgaliyev, the flag bearer of the national team, as well as Denis Nikisha and Adil Galiakhmetov. All three qualified for the quarterfinals, which pleasantly surprised the fans.

Galiakhmetov ran in the second group and showed the second time - 40.722, Nikisha finished first in the fourth group with a time of 40.482, and Azhgaliev was represented in the sixth group and also took first place with a time of 40.870.

In the classic 15 km race, skiers Vitaly Pukhkalo and Evgeniy Velichko took 25th and 40th places, respectively.

In the biathlon sprint for 7.5 kilometers, Galina Vishnevskaya-Sheporenko showed the 52nd result, on February 13 she will perform in the pursuit for 10 kilometers. At the same time, Dinara Alimbekova, an ethnic Kazakh from the national team of Belarus, became 15th in this discipline.

But ski jumpers Sergei Tkachenko and Danil Vasiliev completed the Games ahead of schedule in Beijing. They failed to make it to the top 50 of the qualifier, which qualified them for the first round.
