Norwegian biathlete Marte Olsby-Røiseland won the sprint race at the Beijing Olympics.

The athlete covered the distance of 7.5 km in 20 minutes 44.3 seconds. Sweden's Elvira Oeberg was second, 30.9 seconds back, and Italy's Dorothea Wierer was third (+37.2 seconds). All three medalists made no mistakes on the firing lines.
