The Russian national ice hockey team defeated the Danish team in the group stage match at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Group B meeting ended with the score 2:0 (0:0, 1:0, 1:0). The pucks were scored by Pavel Karnaukhov (29) and Kirill Semenov (60).

The Russians had a numerical advantage five times, but could not realize a single attempt. Goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov did not miss a single goal in two matches of the tournament.

So far, the Russians are in first place with six points in the group. On the second line, the Danes - three points. The Czechs and Swiss have no points, but they played a match less.
