Chingiz Rakparov commented on his historic performance in Nordic combined at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, bbabo.net correspondent reports. He became the first ever representative of Kazakhstan in this sport at the Winter Games.
Rakparov noted that the track was not easy. This Olympics was his debut.
"The race was difficult. The track was not easy, the conditions of the middle mountains. I did my best, I did my best. Here the conditions are harder than, say, we drive at home, at the World Cup stages. Because there is a height of about 1700 meters. And the terrain of the track itself is not easy. And plus the cold. In principle, this is normal, tolerable, but the height plays a role, "said the athlete.
According to Rakparov, after the Olympics, he plans several more important competitions.
"I'm planning the final of the Continental Cup in America and maybe even go to the World Cup stage," he added.
Recall that in the ski jumping competitions, the Kazakhstani biathlete showed the 38th result, and in the ten-kilometer race he finished in 41st position.
