Usually at the Olympic Games, such young people are very often lucky. It seems sad, I expected gold, but there is a bronze medal. But nothing, we’ll still take our own, ”said Zhurova.

The Russian at the finish line pulled out a bronze medal. The first result was shown by the American Erin Jackson (37.04), followed by the Japanese Miho Takagi (+0.08). Golikova was 0.17 seconds behind the US representative.

In speed skating, Russia, thanks to Golikova, took the first award at this Olympics. The Netherlands has the most medals in skating (four golds, three silvers and a bronze). Next come the Swedes (two gold medals), as well as the Americans and the Chinese (one gold medal each).

On February 15, the Russian national team will compete in the women's team competition in speed skating. Jackson as part of the US team will also take part in the race.
