Bolshunov: The more difficult the conditions, the better for us

Russia (bbabo.net) - Russian skier Alexander Bolshunov, who won gold in the men's relay at the Olympics today, said that difficult weather conditions did not become an obstacle for him and his teammates.

"The more difficult the conditions, the better for us. We are glad that we were able to win in tough competition with strong opponents - it's worth a lot. On such a difficult track, in such conditions, against such opponents, we were able to show that we are stronger, that in every race, we try to fight for victory. This is the merit of the whole team - service, doctors, masseurs, family. It was they who made the key to success, "Bolshunov told reporters.

Recall that earlier Bolshunov became the 2022 Olympic champion in the skiathlon, and then Denis Spitsov took the silver.

Biathlete Eduard Latypov brought one more medal - this time a bronze medal - to our national team. He finished third in the men's pursuit behind only Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Maillet and Norwegian Tarje Be. According to Latypov, since childhood he dreamed of an Olympic award.

"Today there were difficult weather conditions - it was one of the most difficult races in my career. On the last lap, I gave all my strength to stay in the prize-winners. An Olympic medal has been a dream since childhood," Latypov admitted.
