Norwegian biathlete Ingrid Tandrevold needed help at the finish line of the pursuit race at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, R-Sport reports.
Tandrevold left third after the fourth firing line, but in the last meters of the distance she became ill. As a result, the Norwegian finished 14th, falling to the ground immediately after crossing the line.
The athlete was brought to life for a long time by doctors and other biathletes. Tandrevold was not able to leave the track on her own, she was carried away in her arms. Perhaps the Norwegian was losing consciousness.
The victory in the pursuit race was won by another representative of Norway, Marte Olsby-Røiseland.
Last January, Tandrevold was unable to finish the sprint race at the Biathlon World Cup in Oberhof, Germany due to heart fibrillation.
