Golovkin made a prediction for the fight against the “super champion” for three titles

IBF and IBO world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs) from Kazakhstan made a prediction for a unification fight with Japanese WBA Super belt holder Ryota Murata (16-2, 13 KOs), bbabo.net correspondent reports.

Initially, their fight was supposed to take place in December in Japan, but was postponed until the spring of 2022. The reason is the strengthening of restrictive quarantine measures in the country.

The budget of the fight between Golovkin and Murata for three world titles has been announced

- Ryota has punching power, he is not afraid to go into an exchange of punches. What do you think about this and the fact that you will perform "away"?

- You correctly noted that he will box at home. Houses, they say, and walls help. But that's what draws me to this fight. Yes, Murata looks like a samurai, he is not afraid of anything. It can be seen that he is set up like a real warrior - I won’t say that a kamikaze, but like a real samurai. He is ready to go to the end, realizing that his country, his team, his homeland are behind him. He is in front of everyone, and he has no right to take a step back. You know, when the beast is cornered, it is unpredictable. Something like that will happen, and it attracts even more interest in our fight.

- It is interesting that you cited a wild animal as an example. Who will be this beast in your duel?

- I think that we will change (the role of the beast) from round. I wanted to say that we will be ready to go to the maximum. We're ready to do whatever we can," Golovkin said on the Walking The Floor podcast.

DAZN announces date for Golovkin vs. 'Super Champion' for three titles

Recall that Golovkin has not boxed since December 2020, when in the United States he knocked out Pole Kamil Sheremeta (21-1, 5 KOs) and defended his world title for a record 21st time. In turn, Murata fought for the last time in December 2019, successfully retaining his title in a fight against Canadian Steven Butler (28-3-1, 24 KOs).
