In general, in the third period, the Russians controlled the situation, although the Danes began to succeed in protracted positional attacks, which were not in the starting two periods. The final score was set by Vyacheslav Voinov in the very end, after the opponent had sent him off, - 3:1.

Earlier, Slovakia made it to the semi-finals, beating the United States on shootouts (3:2). The other two participants in the next stage will be determined by the results of the matches Finland - Switzerland and Sweden - Canada.
