The former Zenit player explained his move to the KPL club

Russian newcomer "Kyzyl-Zhar" Andrei Panyukov in an interview with the club's press service spoke about how the offer was received from Petropavlovsk, and also recalled the experience of playing in the second division of France, reports bbabo.net.

According to Transfermarkt, the 27-year-old striker is on loan from Ural until the end of the year.

- How did the option of moving to Kyzyl-Zhar come about?

- The team came to me. I had other suggestions. Weeks two thought and settled on this option. Especially if both the club and the coach are interested in me.

How were you received in the team?

- All is good. Moreover, I already knew three players. And yes, a good team.

- What have you heard about the Kazakh Premier League?

- Willy-nilly familiar. Anyway, one of my friends went to Kazakhstan. I myself was not there, but my grandparents were in Kazakhstan, and it was in Petropavlovsk.

- Is the French championship really as strong as they say about it?

- Yes, that is right. At the age of 19-20, I played in the French Ligue 2. Every match there is a full house, 30 thousand people come. The level of players is appropriate, the salaries are higher. There, all four leagues can be considered professional, there are few such leagues in any country.

- What surprised you the most during your life in France?

- I lived on the island of Corsica. There were many jokes. It’s hard to get used to everyday life, to pay for the same light and water. The mentality is different, but the Corsicans do not consider themselves French. Very impulsive people. On New Year's Eve they shoot from machine guns, it was the case.

- What do you do in your free time from football?

- Nothing, I usually sit at home. I'm too old to move. I can read books, play on the computer.

Panyukov is a graduate of Dynamo Moscow. In Russia, he played for Zenit, Khimki near Moscow, Spartak-Nalchik and Baltika Kaliningrad. He also played for Lithuanian Atlantas, French Ajaccio and Portuguese Braga. He played 17 matches for the youth national team of Russia and scored eight goals. The player's last club was Ural. He has 124 goals in 253 matches.
