The Slovakian national team beat the United States in Beijing 2022 and reached the semi-finals of the Olympic hockey tournament for the second time in history.
The first time this happened at the Olympic Games in Vancouver in 2010 - then the Slovaks lost to Canada (2:3) in the semifinals, and in the match for third place - to Finland (3:5).
Recall that the main time of the meeting with the Americans ended in a draw 2:2, and in the shootout the Slovaks brought success to the exact throw of Peter Tseglarik - 3:2.
The semi-final games are scheduled for February 18. The third place match will take place on the 19th and the final will take place on the 20th.
As you know, Barys forward Tomas Jurcho is playing for the Slovaks at these Games. The capital club has already reacted to the release of its hockey player in the next stage of the competition.
