Finnish freestyler Jon Sallinen during one of the jumps in the qualifying competition in the halfpipe at the Beijing Olympics made a mistake and collided with the operator.
The incident happened on Thursday. Finn lost control of the air during the jump, collided with the operator and landed hard on the top of the ramp.
As a result, Sallinen showed the last result in qualifying and could not get into the final.
“In the last jump, I caught fresh snow with my ski and hit the operator. I hope he is ok,” Sallinen told NRK.
The freetailer also noted that he received a painful blow to the collarbone.
