Singles competitions are held at the Olympic figure skating tournament. The first of the Russians to present her free program was Alexandra Trusov, who announced the most difficult free program in the history of the Games, in which she performed five quadruple jumps at once.

Trusova failed to skate flawlessly, but she managed most of the jumps. And she became the first in history to complete five quads, even if not all of them turned out perfectly.

For her performance, she received 177.12 points and 251.73 points for the sum of the two programs.

The Russian is still in the lead, there are three more athletes left to perform.
