Johannes Beh wins the mass start at the Olympics

Russia (bbabo.net), - Norwegian biathlete Johannes Beh won the gold medal in the 15 km mass start race. The second place went to the Swede Martin Ponsiluoma, and the third was another representative of Norway Vetle Shostad Kristiansen. The best of our Alexander Loginov - 15th.

This race, which took place in bitter cold and unpredictable winds, could have its own twist. On the last of the four lines, Johannes unexpectedly missed twice, although the wind seemed to have died down. This could call into question his golden claims, but Be's competitors did not take advantage of misfires. Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Maillet missed as many as three times and generally fell out of the top three. Ponsiluoma had one penalty but retained second place. And Christiansen escaped to the third, having completed the last frontier without errors.

Alas, our guys in this race have nothing to be proud of. Alexander Loginov made seven misses and finished 15th, Eduard Latypov missed the same number of targets - 19th. Maxim Tsvetkov made less on a miss, but closed the top 20.
