In Beijing, Bolshunov won five medals - three golds (two individual and one in the relay team), silver and bronze in the team sprint.
According to previously published information on the amount of remuneration, the skier will receive about 16 million rubles from the Russian government for his performance. On the eve of the Olympics, Mikhail Mishustin announced the prize money: 4 million rubles for gold, 2.5 million rubles for silver and 1.7 million rubles for bronze.
In addition, each of the athletes who won medals at the Olympics can receive additional rewards from the region or club they represent, RIA Novosti reports.
