Russia (bbabo.net), - The coaching staff of the Russian national ice hockey team led by Alexei Zhamnov will continue to work at the Ice Hockey World Championship, which will be held in May. This was stated by the President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretiak.

"The result is worthy, the coaches showed themselves well. This team of coaches will prepare the national team for the World Cup," RIA Novosti quoted the head of the FHR as saying.

Zhamnov was appointed to this post last fall. In addition to him, the coaching staff included Sergei Fedorov, Alexei Kudashov, Sergei Gonchar, goalkeeping coach Sergei Naumov and those responsible for physical training Hassan Said and Dmitry Yashankin.

At the Beijing Olympics, the Russian team won silver medals, losing in the decisive match to the Finns - 1:2.

The 2022 World Championship will be held from 13 to 29 May in Finland.
