Sochinets won the international chess tournament in Serbia

Russia (bbabo.net), - Artem Lebedev, a schoolboy from Sochi, became the winner of the international chess tournament "Orbis-22", which was held in Serbia. The young athlete reached the final without defeat, the final game lasted more than four hours.

- It was the most nervous game, - Artem Lebedev noted. - My opening didn't go well, I ended up with a sharp position. But due to counterplay, he was able to achieve a draw and take the tournament.

Local authorities have been watching Artyom's progress for a long time. And no wonder, because by the age of eight he became the world champion in his age category.

“Since then, the whole city has been rooting for him, and, to our common joy, he brings awards to Sochi one after another,” said Aleksey Kopaygorodsky, head of the resort city.

Artem Lebedev is a pupil of the Sochi children's and youth sports school No. 11. Chess sections are located in all the resorts, 675 people are engaged in them.
