The next main starts of the Siberian winternational level will unfold on the embankment on February 26 with the support of the regional grant competition.
More than 70 snowboarders from Europe and Asia will come to Tyumen for victories and a prize fund (this time, 10 thousand euros fell into the "wallet"). And more than 10 thousand spectators, local and visitors - for spectacles.
The main competitions, as well as track and ski races, drifting, hot air balloon rides, demonstration performances of skydivers and much more will traditionally be held in the city center near the river next to the lovers' footbridge.
This time "Battle" is tied to the FIS Big Air Snowboard Continental Cup, which obliges the organizers to prepare an impeccable location for rolling, jumping and other tricks.
Tyumen is not about mountains at all. Therefore, the track for snowboarders is being built from scratch, delivering 100 tons of metal structures and plywood and 1.3 thousand cubic meters of snow to different levels of the embankment. For example, now specialists are putting up scaffolding, and at the place where they roll out from the future springboard, they are building up almost 90 centimeters of ice on the river. Watching their painstaking work is a separate emotional adventure.
"By spending a lot of effort on the project, we are trying to make action sports more visible on the domestic and foreign arenas," comments Ivan Shmonin, organizer of the Battle of the Tour, president of the Extreme Team.
