The IOC Executive Board called on all international sports federations to reschedule or cancel competitions scheduled in Russia or Belarus due to the situation with Ukraine, according to the IOC website.

“They must take into account the violation of the Olympic Truce by the governments of Russia and Belarus and give absolute priority to the safety of the athletes. The IOC itself does not plan any events in Russia or Belarus,” the statement said.

“The IOC Executive Board expresses its deep concern about the safety of members of the Olympic community in Ukraine and expresses its full solidarity with them. The IOC Task Force is in contact with the Olympic community in the country to coordinate possible humanitarian assistance,” the statement said.
