Inter terminated the contract with the footballer who survived cardiac arrest

Inter has canceled the contract with Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen by agreement of the parties. This was reported on the club's website.

“The club wishes Christian all the best for the future. Although the paths of Inter and Christian are now at odds, our bond will never be severed. Good times, goals, victories, the celebration of the championship with the fans outside San Siro - all this will forever remain in the history of Inter, - the message says.

Eriksen suffered cardiac arrest this summer during the European Championships. The incident with the 29-year-old football player occurred in the first half of the first round match of the Euro 2020 group stage against the Finnish team. Eriksen fainted and fell, his heart stopped. Doctors revived him right on the field. The footballer was taken to a Copenhagen hospital, where he was later installed with a pacemaker.

In Italy, it is forbidden to play with a defibrillator installed. Eriksen is currently training at the Danish club Odense.

Eriksen has played for Inter since January 2020. He became the champion of Italy with the Milan team last season.

Previously, the footballer played for Tottenham and Ajax, in which he became a three-time champion of the Netherlands, as well as the owner of the Cup and Super Cup of the country. As part of the Danish national team, Eriksen played 108 matches and scored 36 goals.
