Kazakh triathletes competed at IRONMAN 70.3 DUBAI in several age categories, bbabo.net reports.

Successful for the representatives of our country can be called the category of 40-44 years old among men and 55-59 years old among men.

In the women's competition (40-44) Dina Shaimerdenova took second place. The Kazakhstani finished with a total time of 4 hours 45 minutes and 4 seconds. She was four seconds behind Inaliz Oosthuizen of South Africa. In the overall standings among women, Shaimerdenova ranked 22nd. Another representative of our country, Ruslana Taigen, took 44th place in this age category. Her time was 7:19:39.

In the men's start (40-44), Alex Sidorenko took third place and 50th overall. In addition, in the category of 40-44 years old Kazakhstanis, included in the top 40, showed the following results - Ruslan Yerzhanov 13th place, Marat Usmanov (35), Pavel Artyushenko (37). Six more representatives of our country are located outside the top 40. And the winner in this category was Ilya Slepov from Russia - 3:58:55.

The best among the representatives of Kazakhstan in the age category of 55-59 years old was Vladimir Mikhailov, who took third place. He showed the time 4:53:03. Talgat Zhumagaliev finished ninth - 5:02:54. Yerzhan Sultanov showed a time of 5:51:38 and took 36th place. Briton Mike Morris became the winner in this category - 4:46:10.

In the age category of 18-24 years among women, Aigerim Nurgali took eighth place. Her time was 7:19:31. The winner Cecile Salskov Jensen from Denmark set a time of 4:40:46.

In the same age category, but among men, Sanjar Otey showed the 17th time - 7:06:15. The winner was Konstantinos Hatzegeorgiou from Greece - 4:08:00.

In the age category of 25-29 years among men, seven athletes from our country reached the finish line at once. Here, the best result among Kazakhstanis was recorded by Yevgeny Azariev - 18th place (4:45:12). The winner was Olaf Van Den Berg from the Netherlands - 3:58:50. The rest of Kazakhstanis did not make it into the top 30.

In the age category of 30-34 years, two Kazakhstani women competed among women. Kristina Kizareva placed 20th (5:53:36) and Zhanna Smagulova placed 39th (6:54:34). The winner in this category was Russian Dina Chunareva (4:34:04).

In the age category of 35-39 years old, Yerlan Aitkiev became the best among Kazakhstanis, who took 44th place (4:52:35). The rest of the representatives of our country finished outside the top 50. The Irishman Jason Fay won here - 4:04:59.

Among women in the age category 35-39, five Kazakhstani women performed. Four of them made the top 30. Aida Esterekova (5:14:55) took eighth place, Pavlina Kovaleva - 14th, Dana Nurmaganova (20), Gulnar Matybayeva (24). Finally, Sholpan Basibekova became 47th. The victory in this category was won by the Swedish athlete Lisa Hermanson (4:37:03).

In men's competitions in the age category of 45-49 years, five Kazakhstanis scored finishing points. The best among them was Zhanibek Saurbek (5:01:24), who took 47th place. The rest of the representatives of our country were outside the top 50 of this discipline. The winner in this category was the Frenchman Benoit Marcolini - 4:00:13.

In the age category of 50-54 years among women, Kazakhstani Lyazzat Kurmanova took 22nd place (7:26:56). Belgian Lisbeth Leysen won here - 4:43:16.
