Görlitz lost to the champion for about two minutes, and the Chinese participant Wang Shenyang won the race. The second was Benjamin Davier from France, and another athlete from China, Kai Zhiyun, closed the top three.

Görlitz overtook one of the favorites of the tournament - Canadian Mark Arendz. The North American, who, like Görlitz, still competes in biathlon, has already won gold in Beijing 2022.

Let's add that the next fifth place allowed the Kazakhstani player to increase prize payments by another 10 thousand dollars (over five million tenge).
