Pacquiao's son makes US debut with victory

21-year-old Emmanuel "Himuel" Pacquiao Jr., son of the legendary Philippine champion and presidential candidate Manny Pacquiao, defeated Andres Rosales in his first amateur fight in the United States, reports bbabo.net.

Quick as you'd expect, Pacquiao Jr. pulled off a good jab and showed he could hit right hand.

The score and the decision of the judges in the three-round welterweight fight up to 66.7 kilograms were not announced: Pacquiao simply raised his hand.

His coach Marvin Somodio was pleased: "This is just his first amateur fight, but he showed that he is a spirited fellow. He will get better and stronger."

Previously, Pacquiao Jr. had several unsanctioned fights at his home in Manila.

Recall that in the fall of last year, Manny Pacquiao officially announced the end of his sports career. Manny is the only boxer who managed to become a champion in eight weight categories.
