Uzbekistan almost stole gold from Kazakhstan at the ICA in boxing

Kazakhstan won the first gold in the last final session of the Asian Youth and Junior Boxing Championships, bbabo.net correspondent reports. Even a knockdown didn't hurt.

Kazakhstani Islam Sovetov (up to 67 kilograms) met with Fazliddin Erkinboev from Uzbekistan in the final. The fight went the whole distance, like the first confrontation between the boxers of the two countries, and ended with the victory of the competitor by unanimous decision of the judges.

In the next final, Yegor Yegorov from Kazakhstan (up to 71) outplayed Alisher Ayubov from Uzbekistan. All three rounds were left for a boxer from Kazakhstan, but in the third competitive segment, the referee of the fight counted a knockdown to Egorov. This moment was not taken into account by the side judges - the victory was won by unanimous decision.

Knockdowns for the Kazakhstani also occurred in the duel between Daulet Tulemisov (up to 75) and Rakhmatullo Boymatov from Uzbekistan. The referee opened the score in the starting round, and his final score was 2:3. The second round also went to the competitor (1:4), which led to his victory. In the final three minutes, the Kazakhstani again counted the knockdown.

Earlier with five gold medals, the performance was completed by the girls, who bypassed Uzbekistan in the medal race.
