In the decisive fight, the Kazakhstani knocked down Jamoliddin Kozokov from Uzbekistan twice, and then the competitor's corner refused to continue the fight.

In the final fight of the category up to 80 kilograms, Sultanbek Aibaruly boxed with Abdulaziz Abdurakhmonov from Uzbekistan and lost by unanimous decision. The third round was decisive, because three judges had a draw (19:19), but it was given to a competitor.

Kazakhstani boxers took part in the drawing of four more gold medals: only Yegor Yegorov (up to 71) managed to become the champion of the tournament. Silver medalists were Almat Abduali (up to 51), Islam Sovetov (up to 67 kilograms) and Daulet Tulemisov (up to 75).
