Arthur Shushenachev

The best scorer of "Kairat" last season almost left for Europe last winter, but in the end he stayed and approached the start of the KPL not in optimal shape, having missed most of the training camp with the main team.

Now Arthur, rather, loses the competition to Jose Kante and comes out more often as a substitute. He has no goals and assists in the new season yet. At the same time, Karpovich knows Artur's capabilities well, he worked with him in the double of Kairat.

Shushenachev's adaptation in the national team is still going on with difficulty, last year he did not excel, although he was stable in the club. Now the chances of the Kairat player to enter the national team are lower than in the 2021 season.

Alexey Shchetkin

The most experienced of the current strikers of the national team, but at the same time, probably the most criticized. Shchetkin's career in Russia is going down rapidly, or rather, his Rotor club is collapsing, and after leaving the RPL, he risks leaving the FNL. Not everything is going smoothly for Alexei himself, only three goals in 15 matches. In 2022, the Kazakhstani has not yet scored in official games, although he has playing time. At the moment, Shchetkin looks like a safety net and a function - an experienced striker can come in handy for Karpovich at the end of matches if pressure is needed.

Abat Aimbetov

Another striker who does not please with stability and has not yet scored in KPL-2022. In general, Karpovich is impressed by attackers of this type, like Aimbetov, but the question, again, is in the effectiveness and condition of the current form. Abat is still far from the condition and performance that he had in 2019 and 2020. Nevertheless, it is Aimbetov who is one of the favorites for a place in the main team of Kazakhstan, since he has qualities that others do not have, he is more experienced than Zhaksylykov and Shushenachev, and also betterms of workload than Shchetkin.

Roman Murtazaev

Without a doubt Karpovich's most controversial pick on the hitter's pick list. After returning to Shakhtar, Murtazaev has no scoring action yet, and in general, the last couple of years in the player's career can hardly be called successful. Yes, there is again the notorious international experience, there is such a skill as a long-range strike, but it is not at all accidental that Murtazaev was practically not called up to the national team under Baisufinov. Some positive dynamics in his game compared to last year is not observed.

Aibar Zhaksylykov

A native of Taldykorgan this year finally made it to the big KPL club and even managed to bring Tobol the first title by scoring the winning goal in the Super Cup match against Kairat. But the problem is that Zhaksylykov doesn't have much practice yet, even in Tobol (in three games of the new season he came out exclusively as a substitute), but here are the most important matches of the national team.

Aibar is able to give the team aggression, dynamics, focus, but, given Karpovich's extreme caution, he is unlikely to risk releasing a Tobol player in the starting lineup. So far, Zhaksylykov seems to be one of the first options for replacing and increasing pressure in certain circumstances.

The configuration of the game of the national team is unlikely to change much under Karpovich, rather, he will retain the scheme that Baysufinov used. That is why there is almost no doubt that Bakhtiyor Zainutdinov will be assigned the role of a drawn forward. But who will act alongside him? Most likely, the choice will be made in favor of one of the Aimbetov-Shushenachev pair. They are both useful in pressing, varied in their skills and know what big matches are like.
