The composition of the women's tennis team of Kazakhstan for the match meeting of the qualifying round of the Billie Jean King Cup has become known, the press service of the FTC reports.
The coaching staff of the Kazakhstan national team, headed by Yaroslava Shvedova, chose the following players: Elena Rybakina (20th number in the WTA singles rating), Anna Danilina (22nd number in the WTA doubles rating), Yulia Putintseva (47th number in the WTA singles rating), Zarina Diyas (110th WTA singles rating) and Zhibek Kulambaeva (297th WTA doubles rating).
The games will be held on April 15-16 in Nur-Sultan on a specially created dirt surface at the National Tennis Center.
"When forming the squad, the rating and the latest tournament results were taken into account. Zhibek Kulambayeva will make her debut in the national team. I believe that young people should be given the opportunity. They should see that everyone has a chance to get into the country's main team. Germany has great experience and a balanced squad, but we play at home in front of our own fans and this is a significant advantage to reach the final stage," said Yaroslava Shvedova, captain of the women's team.
